I AM LONO - On stage 19:30
Initially emerging onto Nottingham’s underground music scene as a synth and guitar duo, I AM LONO have since evolved into a fully-fledged, post-punk outfit equipped with gut-wrenching basslines and progressive dark drums. The now four-piece relentlessly pursue their goal of becoming the number one dark synth rock band around. LONO have amassed a committed fan following from selling out numerous shows around the country. Having featured on BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing, I AM LONO remain sleeping giants on the dark, post-punk scene and are ready to show the world their potential. With an array of all-new singles recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios and produced by infamous rock front-man Chris Olley of Six By Seven, LONO have developed a masterful, genre-melding sound. Ghostly synth, rumbling bass, immense guitar riffs, and uncompromising drums are enveloped by poetically dystopian vocals that collectively make I AM LONO’s distinct synth-rock style a captivating force that deserves to be listened to.
FEMUR - On stage 20:45
Leaving a trail of ringing heads and broken strings in their wake come FEMUR. Music so thick it forms a dense cataclysm of sound, likened to “post-punk on acid”, “garage taken to an illogical extent” (Local Sound Focus, 2020) and said to "make Idles seem comparable to Bon Jovi" (A&R Factory, 2019) . From shows with the likes of The Wytches, Phobophobes God-Damn, to their debut 2020 UK tour proving a hugely successful milestone, and new music rumbling up from the depths; FEMUR are a storm that threatens to surge through all corners of the country’s musical extremities.
